Christmas in January

You guys, it’s finally here! I have been going crazy waiting for my Christmas present and it finally arrived. After ordering it a couple weeks ago, checking multiple times a day for the status and then and stalking the tracking number on FedEx for days, it came packaged so. perfectly. cute.

That’s the box. Seriously. Packaging that is that cute tells you what’s inside is gonna rock.

Curious as to what’s inside? Here is the back story…

This was our first Christmas as parents as well as our first Christmas living on one income since I’m lucky enough to stay at home with Caitlin. We knew the focus was having fun with our daughter so David and I agreed no presents. While getting presents for the family, we decided to get his mom a planner and we ordered from my favorite place online, Erin Condren. This was where I splurged on my teacher planner last year and it was love at first sight. Go check out her website here. I’m not sure if it’s the pretty colors, fun fonts, or the extreme organization that I love so much. Who am I kidding, it’s every single one of those things. Anyway, I wanted to share that with my mother in law so we ordered her a personalized planner. When it came in and I was opened it, Dave must have seen the extreme love for it that I had because on Christmas morning I woke up to a note that said “Merry Christmas! Your present is your very own Erin Condren planner, designed together!”

Alright, fess up. Who else owned that folder?!?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! When I read this I’m over the moon. The 30 year old in me is channeling the 10 year old in me that was obsessed with Lisa Frank. Who didn’t love Lisa Frank?! The day my parents took me to the factory in Tucson was one of the best days of my life; second to meeting Jonathan Taylor Thomas, of course. I should track down *those* photos…

Anyway, I’m kind of an old lady at heart. I love writing checks. I can’t tell you how many people think I’m crazy because of this. There is something that makes my heart happy about writing things down. I love to keep track of things so much our refrigerator calendar often gets a little crowded. I love to make lists. For everything. Thank goodness Dave has grown to l̶o̶v̶e̶  accept this part of me. Now I want to show you why I love this planner so much, aside from the perfect packaging

                                                Opening up the fun!

                                               Tons of stickers to organize!

A folder page & a zip close pocket. Perfect for receipts, coupons, & things to mail!
You can totally see where the adult Lisa Frank-ness comes into play 🙂

And now I’m getting to work with my favorite pens. That I had to go buy a new package of for my amazing new planner.  Now I’m off to make a list of what needs to get done this week
